Telescopic hydraulic boom lifts have double- or triple-section jibs. When folded, sections are placed one inside another, reminiscent of a folding antenna. The sliding mechanism implies using hydraulic cylinders or a cable-chain drive.

Telescopic lifts can be deployed in limited space and used for various heights. They are used for the maintenance of power transmission lines, communication lines, outdoor billboards, lighting, etc.
