A road train for pipe consists of a tractor and a pole trailer.

Pipe tractors are designed for transporting pipes along hard-paved roads, off hard-paved roads, along haul roads; they can also transport pipe stalks (segments) along general roads as well as highways and temporary roads whose condition allows for unhindered motion of full-weight road trains.

Pole trailers for pipes are designed for transporting pipes along hard-paved roads, off hard-paved roads, along haul roads; they can also be used for transporting pipe stalks (segments) along pipelines under construction.

Long logs are placed between the bolsters of the tractor and the pole trailer for transport.

For transport, the pole trailer can be placed upon the tractor platform.

Operating conditions: Operating ambient air temperatures might range from -45˚С to +40˚С if the unit is stored outside a garage.
