A road train for timber consists of a tractor and a pole trailer.

Timber tractors are designed for transporting short logs and trunks along hard-paved roads, haul roads, and departmental roads managed by logging companies. Implementation might include a hydraulic crane for loading and unloading timber without using additional lifting implements.

Pole trailers are designed for transporting short logs and trunks along had-paved roads, haul roads, and departmental roads managed by logging companies. Pole trailers are equipped with a pneumatic working brakes plus mechanical parking brakes, as well as external lights.

Long logs are placed between the rotary bolsters of the tractor and the pole trailer for transport.

For delivery, the pole trailer is linked to the tractor platform.

Operating ambient air temperatures might range from -45˚С to +40˚С if the unit is stored outside a garage.
